Hi,
Here are some info from the book "Get Better Sound" by Jim Smith:
Tip #17: Effects of outside temperature on your listening room
This observation applies primarily to rooms that have a wooden stud/joist under wood, plaster, or sheetrock construction. Rooms built from stone or concrete may not be similar.

For example, bass was noticeably looser/heaiver in the summertime. So the tonal balance was warmer than I really liked. Then, in the winter, the sound would get a bit lean.
Please note that the room stays air-conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. The inside temperature stays fairly constant.

Here's my theory about why it happened: If you have a room that's exposed to outside air, it may apply for you as well. My listening room has three walls exposed to the outside. It also has an open attic, and it sits over the garage, so that it's exposed to the outside elements at nearly every boundary.
I now believe that my issues arose from the room expanding with heat and contracting with cold. The differences that I noted were caused by influences on the construction materials of my room and the exposure to the outside temperatures.
Honestly speaking, these differences wouldn't be huge to some people. But to someone who bases his opinions on sound by how the music affects him, it needed my attention.
I now find that occasionally I may make even smaller adjustment between cold and hot weather, typically in the fall and spring. We are talking about slight differences in spectral balance, less than 1dB.

For the most part, a simple slight adjustment in speaker separation may be all that's required (closer for more warmth, further apart for a leaner sound). By slight, I mean no more than two inches or so. Often less.
