瑞典Bladelius 家族新產品Silent replay System--EMBLA，Mike Bladelius的又一傑作。

Totally new replay system for compact discs. The target was to create a player that did not have any mechanical parts moving when playing music. Another objective was to create a jitter-free stream of music data to be fed to the DAC's without any need for correction.
All this was realized with a system that reads the entire disc and stores a bit-perfect copy in a buffer flash memory before playing. So when the music is playing there are no moving parts active in the player. The data is fed from the buffer memory which is far superior in feeding an even continuous stream of bits, than a spinning disc.
The stored data is streamed through a clock with extremely low jitter. Any error correction will be shown on the front panel display where the quality of the disc/rip can be monitored. The player has Ethernet and USB ports which will be used to communicate and store music outside of the player and building your own library. Possible storage options might be a hard drive or a PC or NAS server on the network.

The Embla offer a silent system playback system without any moving mechanical parts when playing from the built-in flash memory. The Embla is not a redesigned computer system; it is built from the ground up as a high performance audio playback system. Unlike other computer based playback products the Embla is based on our proprietary audio DSP design, allowing us to completely control the timing and reading of the discs. The Embla is designed as a true audiophile unit from the ground up and not a modified computer that can copy discs.
Not only is the Embla a playback system but it also includes an analog preamplifier, a world class DAC section based on our reference CD player, the Gondul M, as well as an additional DAC system with a digital filter that has analog behavior.
Insert a CD and you have the option to play directly from the disc like a standard CD player or you can store the disc on the internal flash memory. YouÕre not limited to just internal storage, you can directly connect a USB hard drive or memory stick to player as well as access files on a network drive or music streaming from a PC.
The Embla comes preloaded with a database for album and track names and will display album art if connected to the internet with its Ethernet port.
Embla is completely developed, engineered and produced in Sweden.

Disc information
Embla uses a built in database for album and track information. If Embla is connected to the internet it will retrieve the latest information for album and track names as well as album cover art.
Bit perfect copies
Embla makes bit perfect copies of cdda cd's to memory using our advanced proprietary data reading error anal ysis algorithms enabled by a high performance Teac drive. The bit perfect copies can be stored in either pcm or flac format.
Noiseless
The internal memory for music storage is flash based, which gives you a completely noiseless system. The internal flash memory is upgradeable to larger size when available.
USB ports
Embla has a USB port for USB memory sticks or external hard-drives which can be used for external storage of music. Embla has a second USB port for digital input that can be used for streaming from a computer or a MP3 player.
Ethernet port
Embla has an Ethernet adapter for connection to your local network, which allows playing music from media servers such as a computer or a NAS. If your local network is connected to the internet Embla will retrieve album art and update its database with the most recent data.

A machined aluminum remote control as standard optional RF remote control with 7 inch touch screen (an exact copy of the screen on the unit), will have all information such as song , artist, time, etc

上瑞的張先生可以起個帶頭作用:)，marten design的某老闆也是Bladelius的設計顧問。兩家關係不一般。

現在網路付費下載音樂，在國外已經相當流行了，DG也推出FLAC無損失壓縮數位音樂，香港去年也有付費下載音樂的網站Hifitrack.com了，數位音樂肯定會成為未來音源的主流。連古典大廠都投向無損失壓縮數位音樂的懷抱，對於愛樂者來講，您是要繼續擁抱CD，還是縱身跳下數位音樂海洋？



The State of Audiophile Music Downloads

Music downloads have been around for a while now. Apple has sold over one billion songs through its iTunes store. Amazon has recently joined the party by offering songs at twice the bit rate of typical iTunes downloads. Some of the traditional record labels are also vying for the remaining pennies of your disposable income by offering 320kbps DRM-Free downloads. These options combined offer most of the popular artists one would find in a local record store, but none of them are aimed at the audiophile community. Fortunately the best is yet to come for audiophiles seeking everything from 16 bit / 44.1 kHz material all the way to 24 bit / 192 kHz and everything in between. Let's take a look at some of the download sites Computer Audiophile readers will enjoy.
