Sperling Turntable from Germany with Ikeda arm and cartridge being set up with much attention to detail in my audio room for an upcoming shoot out with a number of formidable competitions such as Clearaudio Statement and TWA from Germany, and Linn LP 12 and SME 30/2 from United Kingdom. Tone arms involved are Clearaudio Statement Linear Tracker, Breuer, Graham Phantom, and Graham 2.2. Phono stages TWA Raven, Vitus Signature Phono stage and SoundSmith Strain Gauge system. Cartridges are ZYX Omega Gold, ZYX 4D Gold and Transfiguration Temper W. Initial listening show that the Sperling Turntable has a jet black background which is so low in noise that you can literally see the instrumentation in any musical presentation. More to come...enjoy
