You should look it in a perpendicular way, so that you can see a face with laughing eyes and a big mouth. perpendicular 講的是直角, 說 look at it sideways 就好了. 國名前面加the 通常是有特殊原因.. 比如說菲律賓是一堆島, 所以叫the Philippines.. the United States is correct. 英國是UK the United Kingdom.
