    The Pivetta Opera Only project

No, when you look at the pictures, it‘s not Captain Kirk‘s oversized ion hairdryer on the
Starship Enterprise, nor is Dr. Emmet Brown‘s latest model of the flux capacitor from the
    time machine!

This project was created all thanks to the Italian, Andrea Pivetta and his passion for
music. Andrea Pivetta is an Italian electronics designer who has worked with a diverse
range of Italian companies in different areas for over 20 years. When the imagination of
an electronics designer becomes overpowering and finds a way for these wild fantasies
to be realised, the result is exactly what the visitors of this year‘s HIGH END in Hall 4 will
    experience live and in colour.

On the one hand, his latest “creation” is certainly a culmination of his more than 20 years
of working in electronics design, but it also reflects his desire to link art and technology
closely together. What visitors to HIGH END 2013 experience, is an amplifier, which can
quite literally be “walked in”. We jokingly spoke of “walk-in” amplifiers back in the seventies
with the large, massive and monstrous American amplifiers, and this is now a reality in
Munich. Many of you will be reminded of the saying that there‘s a fine line between genius
and madness, but where else would an exhibit like this be displayed, if not at the HIGH
    END?

The huge dimensions of the Pivetta Opera Only are not just due to the technical reasons
of being able to achieve 160,000 watts, but also come from the desire to create something
that is very special and unique from a visual point of view. The Pivetta Opera Only reflects
an expression of design creativity (friendly paraphrased), supplemented by high-quality
audio technology in its interior. Its special characteristic features are: style, form and design.
The external structure is made of aircraft-grade aluminium, the openings or connections
are not visible from the outside, and if he or it is switched on, we feel the “Phoenix
from the ashes” equivalent – the spectacular act of awakening, which you just have to
    experience personally.

Initially the 6-channel amplifier is a twelve-sided cylinder, but its structure completely
changes once the power is switched on. It divides itself into six separate sections to reveal
all the electronics at a glance. You suddenly have the impression that you are looking at
space technology. The electronics can also be converted into two identical mono blocks
if required. As you can‘t always find a power supply which provides 160 kW, a bi-power
system was installed so that the amplifier can also be operated with an output of 3 kW. All
the components were made entirely in Italy.

A sum of over €1,500,000 has been invested in the construction of this work of art. The
product is currently not for sale, by the way.

The Pivetta Opera Only is on show at the HIGH END 2013 in Munich for the first time.
Come and be enchanted and visit the premiere of this extraordinary creation on site, live
    and in colour.
