My personal preference from the short-term audition (Ripped CD 16/44.1):
(A3) NorthStar - USB DAC32
(B2) Antelope - Zodiac +
(C1) Antelope - Zodiac Gold



From my own bias listening experience, none of the CAS Combo (including Esoteric K-01) audited during the show can reach the sound quality level of the Linn Klimax DS.

I would like to see a side-by-side comparison of the High-Class or Hi-End CAS / DS:
(1) Antelope - Zodiac Gold
(2) emm Labs - DAC2
(3) Esoteric K-01
(4) Linn Renew DS
(5) Linn Klimax DS
(6) Linn Klimax DS/1


Hopefully, another comparison activity between CAS and Digital Stream Players can be arranged in the coming future for both ripped CD and high resolution audio files (24/96 & 24/192).
