HDtracks has been working diligently to attract more high resolution content from record labels, but many record labels feel that their product in a high-resolution format is worth a much higher premium then in their standard, 44.1/16 resolution. Consequently, without implementing a price increase, HDtracks would have no chance of attracting the kind of content we believe is necessary to satisfy our customers.


We want our customers to know that the last thing that we wanted to do was raise the price of our high-resolution content. But we made the difficult decision to augment our prices, because our goal, ultimately, is to make sure that the most extensive selection is available to our customers. Norah Jones releases her fourth studio album, The Fall, with a cover that features a portrait by photographer Autumn de Wilde.

Jones has taken a new direction on The Fall, experimenting with different sounds and a new set of collaborators, including Jacquire King, a noted producer and engineer who has worked with Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, and Modest Mouse among others. Jones enlisted several songwriting collaborators, including Ryan Adams and Okkervil River’s Will Sheff, as well as her frequent partner Jesse Harris. King also helped Jones put together a new group of musicians to perform on the album, including drummers Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) and James Gadson (Bill Withers), keyboardist James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Al Green), and guitarists Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello) and Smokey Hormel (Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer).
