Apple與Intel合作開發的技術, 當初計畫代號為Lightpeak, 目前看來還是用銅纜線傳輸, 但保留未來用光纖傳輸的可能性; 我個人是覺得用光來傳輸音訊利多於弊, 尤其是real-time的傳輸, 在光通訊的領域, 兩三百米的距離都算短距離, 而且光訊號的干擾源要比電訊號少的多; 光纖的成本不高, 頻寬大, 用在音訊或視訊的傳輸都相當理想

今早發表的 apple　mbp 已經使用上此技術了 ....

看來我LAG了....

原本Lightpeak要與USB 3.0整合,

而Apple把他跟Display Port整合,

其實都是這樣, 即使光傳輸用不到, 還可以當USB 3.0用, 在Apple的Case當中是當外接螢幕用,

所以即使光傳輸起不來也沒有損失

是, USB3.0的規範其實相容於光傳輸; 未來如果光傳輸關鍵零組件平價化或是能順利跟Si-based IC整合, 也不是沒有實現的可能
