如果美式英文要“聽”得好，看CNN還蠻有用的（口音比較不明顯）。跟著主播重複念，可以糾正自己的口音。
“說”，就比較難了。雖然印度人講英文口音很重，但大概還聽得懂（因為他們的文法比較準）。老中的文法大部分都有點問題（特別是時態），對老美來說反而更不容易聽懂（雖然口音沒那麼重）。
一點小小的意見，希望對您有點用

我記得我高二的時候班上考過一個tense的考試. 50個verb, 考past tense跟past perfect.. 我好像還考全班前幾名. 最差的老外好像只對了15個..
其實我很喜歡國外英文課的教法.. 主要教的是如何欣賞文學, 了解其社會背景之類的.. 讀的東西除了莎士比亞之外, 也都是以短篇小說(short story)跟長篇小說(novel)為主.
國外的歷史課也很棒, 教學重點在於如何識別歷史課本中的偏見(bias)跟政府怎麼把人民當白癡耍(propaganda).. 上課用的是好幾本不同國籍的人寫的課本.

老外常常是寫的不行但聽和說一把罩, 我們培養出去的拼字通常比較強!

管機的聲音讓我覺得音樂富有活生感。
Tube amplifiers make me feel the musi is full of ambience.
晶體機的特色則是速度快、低頻具有衝擊力。
The features/charateristics of OP amplifiers are speedy and dynamic bass.
這玩意兒頭一次讓我有驚豔的感覺。
