It is very nearly time for High End Society Munich 2019. We have a few reasons to be excited, first and foremost it’s the one time of the year when we get to see so many of our customers and industry partners all in one place loving what we all do but also because this year for the first time ever we have a dedicated room for HeadFi.

In addition to our full system room we have a room with four of our Bartók DAC with Headphone amp on active and a selection of headphones to try it out with. Of course you’re welcome to bring your favourite headphones to try too!

Compact active DSP speakers

Genuin Audio from Cottbus has shortened its active floorstander "neo" to half the height and created the compact speaker "ava". It is equipped with the same coaxial driver for midrange and treble, only the woofer with a diameter of 20 cm is a size smaller. A digital signal processor ensures accurate frequency response and timing. A quad-power amplifier powers the three drivers with a total of 1000 watts, whereby the woofer is powered by two bridged channels of the Class D module. The speaker is fed via XLR analog or digitally via AES/EBU. With digital control, the other speaker is powered via the AES/EBU output of the master speaker. Three presets can be used to adjust the sound to the room. The software also offers even more options for room correction. The "ava" is available in six versions: black and white in silk matt lacquer or as a veneer version in Sapelli, oak, smoked oak and black ash. It will be available from the 3rd quarter of 2019 at a price of 19,900 Euro per pair. However, the loudspeaker will already be shown at the High End in Hall 1, Stand B02/C03.
