Debussy沒有Clock,Puccini player + U Clock有Clock,不過這樣就快貴近一倍了
Debussy也可加Clock呀....
看了小葉的評測真的很哈,但是……….看了售價就軟掉了。(sweat)

最近一直在選電腦CAS搭配的DAC,一直對這台最感興趣
昨天發了一封信直接給dCS今天沒回,下午查一下垃圾信件才發現其實他早回了,效率真好,本來以為是回一封制式信件,沒想到很認真的回了我,美中不足的是叫我Mr. Piper...我是Mega啦...
裡面沒有我的問題,所以我重覆一下,我記得我問他:
1. 將來USB有沒有辦法升級24/192, Debussy的USB是1.1還是2.0?
2. 我有如果44Khz或48Khz(或倍數)的音源一直輪流播放,我應該餵他吃哪一個clock rate?可不可以餵Esoteric的Universal Clock 100Khz?
有趣的是他不但回答我的問題還回順便推崇了一下USB,以及他們認為比Ethernet/Wifi和Firewire的優點,給大家參考一下:

Many Thanks for the email and interest in dCS.
Let me try to answer your questions....
Firstly, all dCS products are software updatable to add new features and functions as the market demands and they are developed by us. For example in the past we introduced upsampling to DSD on our 1394 interface, and to enable this in our units we provided software updates and firmware changes so they would be current.
This design approach is still the same with our new product ranges and as proven technology becomes available and the market demands we will update our products. At the moment our usb technology does not require drivers meaning that it is plug and play and can operate on both Windows and Mac.
At this time we are evaluating a number of other usb chips that support higher than 24/96 and if these offer the same performance and reliability we may provide a firmware update to Debussy in the future.
We believe that in terms of computer audio USB is the optimum connection between the access point (PC/Mac) and HiFi component for 3 reasons:
· USB is isochronous. This means that the host & client both know how much bandwidth is available at the outset, and the host can guarantee that bandwidth will be available all the time.
· Ethernet/Wi-Fi cannot guarantee bandwidth – there is a concept of “Quality of Service”, but this is not set in stone - especially with Wi-Fi.
· Our patent pending method of synchronizing the audio between the PC/Mac (the host), and an audio device used by the Debussy DAC uses “Asynchronous USB” (NOT to be confused with asynchronous rate conversion). In this scenario, the audio device synchronizes the audio by providing a feedback pipe to the PC/Mac. The PC/Mac then is effectively locked to the audio device, which can have a much more accurate clock and much lower jitter. Firewire does not provide for this type of feedback, so is less suitable for this type of application. Additionally, USB is more widely available, especially on older PCs.
You also mentioned USB 1.0 and 2.0 and dCS Debussy operates at 2.0 but is backwards compatible to 1.0.
Although the usb spec is changing it will have minimal impact on audio streaming or performance because USB 2.0 already offers more than enough transmission speed to support high resolution audio. For example USB 2.0 supports 480Mb/s and a stereo 192/24 track will only require 9Mb/s! So….the 4Gb/s you get with USB 3.0 will only really matter for applications such as HD video.
Finally as for clocking we always recommend that you clock dCS product at a base multiple of the source material. For example:
44.1/88.2/176.4 – Use 44.1 KhZ clock frequency
48/96/192 – Use 48kHz clock frequency

還有現有的這顆USB DAC晶片若要用軟體改到24/192可能蠻拼的
有可能要換顆晶片才有辦法
但我認為
24/96 現在已經很足夠了
dCS的聲音真的強

其實他是站在USB的角度去看
若站在Firewire,其比USB多了peer-to-peer protocol、isochronous mode
兩者都可進行asynchronous
他說的“feedback pipe“,簡單的說,就是說DAC利用USB把一些訊息回傳給PC/Mac. 這樣PC/Mac 就可以鎖定DAC.
其實,就像小葉說的,Firewire本來就有這個功能(其實還有更多功能). 您想,如果USB當真那麼好,為什麼錄音室的數位錄音器都支援Firewire (很多年了),但USB最近才出來?而且大部份都是家用器材?
Firewire一個強大的功能就是穩定與多工
當然這邊並沒有說誰聲音好,因為這層面比較廣
等Weiss到臺灣再來好好聽聽
USB要考慮系統環境的問題,不過也不是不能解決
(1) 撥放音樂檔案的電腦越單純越好
(2) 選個USB Port

不過dCS的聲音真的很厲害,好聲音是要有許多地方的考量的
還是要自己耳聽為憑ㄜ~~~~
