Dynaudio will mark the company's 30th anniversary by releasing their Sapphire floorstanding loudspeaker ($16,500 per pair). There will be four finish options for the semi-gloss lacquered wood sections of the cabinet, including Bordeaux (Rosewood stained Bird Eye Maple), Amber (Cherry stained Bird's Eye Maple), Mocha (An Espresso stained Bird's Eye Maple), and Ivory (a Natural stained Bird's Eye Maple). The back section of the cabinet will be finished in a semi-gloss black lacquer. Fit and finish will naturally be of the highest level. Production is limited to 1,000 numbered pair worldwide. Dynaudio's Sapphire driver complement includes a conventional tweet/mid/woof/woof array of 28 mm tweeter, a 15 cm mid/woofer and two 20 cm woofers. The cabinet has perfectly formed wood surfaces, cut like a jewel into a shape revealing distinct gem-like profiles when viewed from different angles. Danish master craftsmen made a totally unique loudspeaker celebrating 30 years of Dynaudio. Featuring one of the most elaborate and distinctive loudspeaker cabinet designs ever, hand-built in the Dynaudio tradition of excellence, the Sapphire is finished in a satin-gloss lacquer that brings out the finest detail in the cabinet's alluring wood grain. Sapphire價格跟C4有得比, C4定價680,000, 不知2者聲音走向有何差異,
看來想得知數據情報還需等到9月初原廠網站才會公佈...:^)

這個藍寶石(Sapphire)的外型果然不同凡想，正面看上寬下窄的斜切面，側面注意看木紋處像寶石般鑲嵌入，後上方斜削的造型更是獨特，丹麥的工匠藝術真是厲害，如果真有出寶藍色的木紋就更像藍寶石了。

Dynaudio Sapphire: the final edition of the jubilee loudspeaker comes finished in a most exclusive blue version
Dynaudio's jubilee loudspeaker is on pace to be sold out of its limited 1,000 pair world-wide production. The last speaker will be produced in Denmark by the end of 2009 at the latest; and Dynaudio has revealed that the final 30 pairs of the Sapphire will be available in an exclusive new Gloss-Blue Piano Lacquer.
Danish loudspeaker specialist Dynaudio unveiled its limited-edition jubilee loudspeaker to commemorate the company's 30th anniversary: the Sapphire.
Limited to a global production run of 1,000 pair, the Sapphire has already become a highly demanded collectible. Each pair of speakers is ornamented by a corresponding pair/serial number out of 1,000 engraved on a metal plate on the back of the speaker. At the current pace, the last Sapphire (designated No. 1000/1000) is expected to be delivered within the next 3-4 months.
It is a special pleasure and sense of pride for Dynaudio to witness the tremendous success of this most special loudspeaker product.
As the production of the Sapphire nears its end, Dynaudio has decided to offer a new finish for the Sapphire: in addition to the exquisite "Ivory", "Amber", "Bordeaux" and "Mocca" stained clear-lacquer bird's eye maple finishes and the high-gloss white and black piano lacquer finishes, a very special clear piano lacquer Blue bird's eye maple finish. The Gloss-Blue finish will be available on the Sapphire without any premium – and limited to only 30 pair – the last 30 pairs of the Sapphire model to be produced.
The silken, glistening gloss-blue finish of the Dynaudio Sapphire underscores the highly sophisticated, outstanding design of the cabinet. This limited jubilee loudspeaker represents 30 years of experience and excellence of "the loudspeaker specialist" and showcases Dynaudio´s finest technology to deliver music playback as powerfully and dynamically as possible.
In producing Sapphire pair "No. 1,000/1,000" at the end of this year, another chapter in hi-fi history will be completed and a another landmark loudspeaker will be added to the legacy of Dynaudio.
