版主 您好;

KID, which stands for Krell Interface Dock, is more than a conventional iPod dock, it is a high performance iPod preamplifier. Krell core engineering technologies populate the circuitry, including discrete, differential, Class A analog circuitry. Optically isolated from the digital circuitry, the KID topology passes signal through a custom 256-step volume control and ends in balanced and single-ended audio outputs. Additional connections include composite, S-video, and RS-232 for use with more advanced control systems. The included remote control provides full iPod management as well as bass, treble, and volume adjustments. Compatible with all generation iPods and iPhones, the KID also charges the iPod battery when resting in its cradle. The KID and Papa Dock combination defines what is sonically possible when using an iPod as a music source. Coupling the convenience of iPod with Krell electronics elevates iPod listening to a level audiophiles will find unexpectedly thrilling. The KID delivers maximum sonic performance from any iPod device utilizing the dock connector, including the iPhone and iTouch. All of the iPod functions are accessible via the remote control or via the docked iPod device

很捧的耳擴, 買過七八部送人, 做爛音響提升音效也不錯. 我不是做生意的, 只想介紹給大家比較這東西, 也已用了數年.

BRISTOL SHOW 2010: Arcam develops sub-£300 standalone DAC
YESTERDAY

Arcam DAC expected to sell for £299
One of the great things about the Bristol Show is coming across something unexpected. Chatting to Arcam founder John Dawson, we discovered the company is in the process of developing a new standalone DAC.
What you see here is a hand-made prototype, although it gives a clear indication of what the production version will look like.
It has USB, optical and coaxial digital connections, and a mains on/off switch on the back. The little silver button on the top allows you to toggle between the different inputs.
Dawson says Arcam has spent a lot of time and effort improving the performance of the USB connection.
The unit is expected to go on sale this summer for around £299.

BRISTOL SHOW 2010: Naim develops prototype UnitiServe music server
YESTERDAY

Naim UnitiServe: coming soon
We've already reported on Naim's forthcoming UnitiQute wireless streaming system – due on sale mid-April – but tucked away in the Naim room here at Bristol was this clever little box of tricks.
Called the UnitiServe, it's a prototype music server in a UnitiQute-sized box. Inside the box is a 1.5TB hard drive to which you can rip CDs in full resolution, as well as store and play 24-bit/96kHz .wav files. A single CD takes about 6-7 minutes to copy.
It uses similar software to Naim's £4500 HDX system, and can be controlled from any web browser, via a laptop or an iPhone app.
You can browse music stored on the UnitiServe by album, artist, playlist or genre and content can also be transferred to a network attached storage device (NAS).
There's no price for the UnitiServe yet, but Naim expects it to be on sale by June/July this year
And if you want to hear the UnitiQute in action, it's being demonstrated in the Naim rooms here at the show (502, 506, 509).
