The massive front baffle, measuring 2.25 inches in thickness, is milled of solid active/resonating tonewood. Acting as a backbone for the structure, the solid wood plinth and baffle are loaded with a vacuum-formed multilayered non-resonant elliptical plywood cabinet containing a special 30-inch internal tonewood resonator, or "Instrument," in vintage Rosewood with French violin finish, signed, numbered and photographed prior to installation.

This magnificent loudspeaker features an extra-large 14.5-inch hand-turned solid Maple horn, loaded with our 1-inch textile dome tweeter. The horn also serves as the port (an exclusive innovation).

The Instrument will set a new standard in dynamic realism. From airy violins to the thunder of the deepest bass, sound is delivered with speed and nimble posture. The Instrument is a symphony much greater than its parts and operates as a whole without truncation, using the organic power of the horn to correct the limitations of the antiquated cone/panel transducer. It is beautiful to look at and even more beautiful to listen to.

Hailing from the heritage of the Opus Series, the Ariaa responds to the needs of the industry as Stahl~Tek brought on additional audio engineers. These new engineers labored under the love of the craft to produce a work of art. Their goal was to matched both their desire for the purest audio as well as a more comfortable price point still within the reach of most audiophiles.

The Ariaa is the result of their endeavor with proven engineering plus certain forms of testing were used that are not found within the general industry. Hailing from the heritage of the Opus Series, the Ariaa features handling audio data up to 24-bit/192kHz, remote control with volume adjustment and full galvanic isolation of all outputs.

Digital inputs include I2S, S/PDIF, AES/EBU and USB 2.0 (asynchronous).
Analog outputs include balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA.

Frequency response is from 0 Hz to 100 Hz, signal to noise ratio is >127dB and dynamic range is >127dB. Dimensions are 17.63" x 15.73" x 4.19" (WxDxH).

The "Violin" is an all-new design that borrows the best circuitry from the "Trumpet", "Cornet", and "Piccolo" preamplifiers and combines them with microprocessor controlled pushbutton switches and relays for seriously convenient operation and world-class features. The relatively compact chassis has two separate phono inputs (MM and MC), adjustable loading, gain, polarity, and equalization. The front-end MC gain uses low-noise matched JFETs to boost up to MM levels, where the vacuum tubes take over providing all gain, equalization and output buffering. Components used in the design are of superb quality, chosen for their sonics and contribution to the overall harmonic performance of the amplification chain. No corners have been cut.
