May 2012 - Femto - Calyx has launched their new 18.5kg Femto statement DAC ]$6.000] with 2 x coax, 2 x AES/EBU, 1 x BNC, 2 x Toslink and 1 x USB inputs. Analog outputs are on RCA and XLR and two transformers are dedicated for the analog and digital circuitry. Built around an ESS9018 per channel with digital volume enabled via 0.5dB steps, there's claimed dynamic range of 132dB, THD of 0.0001% and RMS jitter of 500 femto seconds. Three selectable digital filters and absolute polarity can be changed from the massive metal remote wand. All inputs support all sampling frequencies from 44.1 to 192kHz. USB is limited to 24 bits, all other inputs support 32 bits.

Gediminas Gaidelis is the owner of Audio Solutions, a new speaker company in Lithuania which began in the fall of 2011.
His flagship is the Rhapsody 200, a 5-driver three-way with two 9" woofers and two 15cm midranges which cover 500Hz to 6500Hz to keep the most critical range free of filtering.
The 54kg 1360mm tall cabinet employs four-layer walls and the top, bottom and back panels are 60mm thick, all others 32mm.
The point-to-point crossover is potted in a quartz-sand compound.
