At the 2013 Geneva motorshow, Bugatti had 3 Veyrons on their stand. Two Vitesse and this really nice Grand Sport Carbone Vert. It is a bit like the Sang Bleu but with green carbone this time.
The car is so clean and beautiful you wouldn't touch it ! The exterior and interior details and finition are so amazing, I totaly understand the price asked for it... It's around $2.5 million.

Bisheriger Rekordhalter ist der Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. Seine Kampfansage: 1200 PS. 1500 Newtonmeter maximales Drehmoment. Preis: knapp 2 Millionen Euro. Ohne Steuer.
Seit Mai 2010 steht der Geschwindigkeitsrekord. Aufgestellt von Bugatti- Pilot Pierre-Henri Raphanel auf der hauseigenen Teststrecke im niedersächsischen Ehra-Lessien. Die Straßenversion des Veyron wurde aber aus Sicherheitsgründen auf 415 km/h abgeriegelt.
Deswegen wittert der Rivale seine Chance...
...die Sportwagenschmiede Hennessey aus Houston in Texas beansprucht die Krone für sich. Der Venom GT leistet 1244 PS aus einem 7 Liter V8. Mit ihm haben die Amis auf der Air Base Lemoore in Californien 427 km/h geschafft und sich kurzerhand selbst zum Weltrekordhalter erklärt.
Mit fast 428 km/h sind die Amis zwar etwa 3 km/h langsamer als der Bugatti, doch...
...der elektronische Begrenzer des Veyron verstößt gegen die Richtlinien der Guinness Kommission und Bugatti wurde der Titel aberkannt.
Pech für Hennessey. Bei ihrer Rekordfahrt war die Guinness World Record Kommission nicht anwesend. Deswegen ist auch dieser Rekord nicht offiziell. Wer sich am Ende die Krone holt bleibt spannend.
