In answer to your questions. Yes we recommend conditioning cables every 8 weeks. Initially (to begin with) you would use Proburn to properly burn in a cable, lets not forget that if you have never used Proburn, then your cable will never have had the full bandwidth that Proburn offers, this is 10,000 the upper limit of a regular CD. So it is very important that your cable is properly run it, and Proburn does this better than any CD played on any CD player due to the CD players limited bandwidth.
We then suggest putting cables on Proburn every 8 weeks or so, and also using our proprietary contact cleaner Clean-IT to make sure all contacts are clean and free from oxidation.

The Proburn will then remove any negative charges which have built up in the cable, so this is not necessarily an extension of the burn-in process it is for other reasons. In the same way that you would service your motor car. It is good practice. The same with the cleaning of contacts. If you wear glasses, you would of course clean them from time to time otherwise there will become a point that your vision is obscured. The same is true with contact points in your high fidelity audio system.

其實 Nordost 也是建議要定期 Burn-In 線材
我想不單純只是導體本身問題
與之接觸的絕緣體也是元兇之一
例如 Kimber Kable 8TC 或是 4TC 喇叭線等，原廠去年改變了新的絕緣外皮顏色
也是因為不同色彩中所含的不同成分會影響電介質等因素
而改變了聲音表現
這是上回 Kimber 業務主管來台店訪時我問到的結果
其實 audioquest 的DBS(Dielectric-Bias System) 處理的重點就是電介質問題
