    預設 Hidden Agenda

    This is a Chinese hign end hifi forum. There were a couple of posts in this thread about lady jazz singers of Chinese ascent. May be we can also slip in a little hidden agenda - promote lady singers of Chinese ascent via this thruly high end audiophile recording. There is also an added advantage in terms of budgeting. They won't cost a bomb, I believe, like Diana Krall.

    Just a thought.

    I've really see enought, what you're missing is a producer
    A producer is not just a recording engineer, but a budgeting, musician/tech/marketing all in one
    e.g if you hv to use short cable simply put the mic-pre close to the mic-stand.There's many micpre with remote, special for this purpose.Then link the output to BEST protools HD.Since aft mic pre the signal boost enought even travel 100M will be OK.Or if you really fussy , can use 5M audiophile silver cable to link between mic-pre and protool A/D

    For headset/headphones the best recording never use HS.Like Snow rose there is no HS. I can't tell how easy this is, but like Timbre of Sax recording in Sanfrancisco, Unplug Golden gate recording in a Italian rest in SF.all without HS.Of course then you need a pro-mixer and pro-mic handler.
    Well,do you think Y.K Chan Editor of Audiophile Editor states Unplug Golden Gate sounds better than Jazz at the pawn shop is water-blowing!!
    You hv to listen on his Westlake tower to be his level.
    But if you insist on HS monitoring, then use in ear, never use big hs, and musician hate cable, so better no cable use wireless, bluwtooth...

    mic 到 mic pre 這段最短也要有mic架子的高度,2M是跑不掉的,除非把Pre對應架高,我來看看是否能儘量縮短 (將pre與A/D的線弄長一點)

    線材對我來講是個很大麻煩,自己也試過不少線,特別是又貴的High End市場的線,我還在研究當中,不希望有太強烈的個性

    若要用喇叭來監聽,我們會考慮Dynaudio BM5A Compact及Alesis M1 Active520這兩對

    無線的部份會納入以後計劃,本次先無法考慮

    我個人對於無線部分以往的經驗並不好,我曾經在無線網路的公司任職過,依據工程師的說法,無線相對於有線會有更多的干擾的,以Hi-END要做較為原始的聲音,無線可能不是一個好的選項

    重点先找唱片監制,他將按已定预算,比方説以TIS今年台展碟第3首Saint Mic展前后約銷千張,共收TW$750小賣x1000張x0.8店鋪折扣x0.8代理收費=$480,000來説
    這是Scttoy今年最好的cd,新人有没這數字或超越好多,這是金主的考量。
    如果我是投資方,只岀CD我一定不做,所以一向只做有代理包底的。
    今天香港有名芸人歌手都要自掏自投才能岀片,少則HK$五十,一百万,前有趙学宜,現黄凱芹,古巨基更耍注資入股Paco才能渡過。
    那么唱片監制可以在TW$300,000做什么,二流楽手四名,錄音室两天,混音普普通通......
    唱片監制要看有什么背景,有些只有技術,人際,看譜,創作詞曲,編曲,錄音现場監控,包括从mic,cable,micpre,到A/D,大部香港唱片監制都會説,但没幾佃交岀成績,就從作品数量就明白,又快又好又賺錢,那家老板不喜歡。
    據我經驗看,這女声project比較像磨沙1:1的E-SPA香港世博歌手Ginger Kwan,全部国際級Drum Bass Piano Flute Clarinet Sax連歌手下限budget TW$500,000 studio recording 1天,上限以Live Unplug recording 两天為$900,000,其中光是10多条Silech Silver要向香港代理租借或赞助,live場地如果没Steinway要向TOMLEE租借或赞助,有Steinway的通常是市政局會收取天價錄音费.
    當然還有上百樣注意,這都是我這20年美,日,台,中,港錄音碰釘所累積

    前文2点是不要HS耳機,所有最好的錄音,以TIS来说雪兒Snow Rose,赴美錄大教堂内Timbre of Sax,三藩市顶級爵士聖地錄Unplug Golden Gate,是不要HS耳機,所以發燒音响评Unplug Golden Gate比Jazz at the Pawashop好,因為2点:1樂手是美国西岸最强的比瑞典的更源头,2在他家中Westlake TM3 tower看到完整7人分佈及背景細節
    這说明樂手不喜耳機if you insist on HS monitoring, 如果非要用
    then use in ear用入耳塞
    better no cable use wireless, bluwtooth耳機用無线
    不是Signal Cable
